Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships

April 25 to April 27, 2014 Hosted by Ball State University @ Fishers, IN

The Mid-American Conference will hold its Women's Golf Championships at The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club. The course also served as the site for the event in 2010 and 2012. Kent State again returns as the defending team champion, while the individual medalists from the past two years (Ball State's Jenna Hague and Kent State's Jennifer Ha) are both in the field. Tournament Notes: Ohio's Kara Brinkmann recorded a hole in one on the 15th hole, a 172-yard par 3, in the first round. Kent State's Jennifer Ha shot a 69 in the second round to match the lowest round in MAC Championships history. It had previously been done seven times, most recently by Ball State's Jenna Hague in the final round of the 2012 event. Kent State won the MAC Championship for the 16th year in a row, while Jennifer Ha became the third player in MAC history to win the individual title twice.
